Chapter 2 - Gen 6 - Lyric

I was quite surprised when Granddad told me that he already knew that I was gay.   Personally he didn't care, although he said he is not looking forward to the headache it is going to cause with me being the heir.  He is not sure that my parents would be alright about it though, and somehow I can't see my Dad taking it too well the type of person he is, and as for Mom, she is only every happy when she is shouting at someone so no doubt I will get disapproval from her.

Our first day at school we had lots of new people to meet, uglies, berries, normal children and even genie children, we had never seen such a collection of different types of people together before.  I liked the fact that nobody seemed to care how anyone looked or what anyone was, they all mixed and got on like there was no difference in any of us.  We had two "normal" teachers Miss Sweet and Mr strong.

We even have a vampire teacher, Mr Quan, he scares me a little as I have never met a vampire before.  He did promise the class that he wouldn't bite, unless we misbehaved - I hope he was only joking!!

We also got to see our family too, our brother, sisters and cousin.  Harper and Symphony are now at school they have had their birthday since we have been apart and our Cousin Juana is now a teen and in High School.  I didn't really see the point of me doing just four days in the new school but Granddad said my grades would slip if I didn't.

I am not sure that the family ghosts were happy with the move to a new house and town, they were all out and about causing chaos with the furniture and huddling in groups and actually talking to each other, which they don't usually do.

They have also grown a fascination with the coffee machine - so much so that the ghosts have started drinking coffee and staying out during the daytime, sitting talking and drinking coffee.

Me and Piper have also taken quite a liking to the coffee machine, we started to stay up all night drinking coffee instead of sleeping so Granddad ended up putting it away so it couldn't be used by any of us including the ghosts.

The four days of school flew by and before I knew it, it was my birthday.  I finished school with a B grade but I was not really bothered about my grades, I just couldn't wait to start my singing career.  Piper was now doing really well at school and since that one day when Mom visited he has had no further outbursts and we have seen nothing but the "good" Piper.

Granddad threw me a birthday party, it felt a little strange that my twin sister Harmony was not here too.  Dad said she was off with her new school mate and was celebrating her birthday with them.

Even though we haven't been in town long Piper has already got himself a girlfriend, Brandy Brownie.  I think they look pretty cute together.  Brandy kept him occupied and took his mind off Mom who was in usual form just stood around not bothering to talk to any of us.

Dixie brought her cat and dog to the party, Granddad was pretty horrified when he found Dixie's kitten destroying one of his new chairs in the hallway.

Dad managed to spend some time talking to both me and Piper.  I am not sure if he has been told that I am gay or not, but he didn't bring up the subject so I didn't either.   Mom as usual just totally blanked us both, Piper might have gotten upset by this normally but he was too busy with Brandy to even let it bother him.

I signed up as a professional singer straight away and started to practice singing.

I went to my Graduation at the town hall, Melody and Harmony graduated at the same time so the whole family were there, although I don't know how Harmony got away with not wearing her gowns.

Straight after the graduation ceremony I got my first sing-o-gram job, so I didn't hang around, I took off to go and do the sing-o-gram.  My first victim was Miss Sweet, one of my school teachers, with a cheer up sing-o-gram.  It did cheer her up because I know how much she likes squishies.

I hung around for a while, there was quite a crowd just gathered and hanging out around by the book store and grocery store.  My cousin Juana made me laugh a little asking for my autograph like she was an excited fan, with a five star celebrity status from just being a member of the Ugli family, I get asked for photo's and autographs quite often now.

I got to meet quite a few town residence, Pipers girlfriends parents, Mr and Mrs Brownie.  I also met a newly engaged Rabbit and his girlfriend Blueberry North.

 Rabbit was quite an interesting fella, telling me all about their wedding plans, he was obviously excited by the up and coming wedding.

Everytime I turned round I seemed to be bumping into a family member, this time it was Uncle Brice, out and about trying to get to know the local community.  I didn't mind talking to Uncle Brice.

Mom was a different story, I saw her going into the diner with Symphony, Melody and Dixie, I just walked away from them so I wouldn't have to talk to her, not that she would go out of her way to talk to me anyway.

I had one more sing-o-gram to do today.  A celebration one.

I love seeing the smile that these sing-o-grams put on peoples faces, I think I am really going to enjoy my job.

It has been a long time since I have used the coffee machine - but now I remember why - sims prefer to drink coffee then they can't sleep for 3 hours, when they crash they get another cup and end up walking around like zombies. :/
