Chapter 8 - Gen 6 - Lyric

Forrest was very quiet, I had noticed that before and during dinner, even before he told me he had spoken to Melon.  Melon and Lilac have said yes to the baby sharing idea, and I thought Forrest would have been jumping through hoops, like he had been a few days ago, but he wasn't.

Lyric:  "So come on what's wrong?"
Forrest:  "Nothing."
Lyric:  "There is Forrest I can tell, you have suddenly gone quiet, I expected you to be leaping about the place right now - or are you throwing a wobble!!"
Forrest:  "Just ....... oh its nothing, ignore me, I am just being silly!!"
Lyric:  "You need to tell me because we can't do this baby thing if neither of us are happy or aren't on the same page, and this was your idea remember!!"
Forrest:  "I know its just the though of having to share you with somebody else, I don't like it."
Lyric:  "Sharing doesn't even come into it, its not like I am getting married to her or anything, its a one time act to make a baby, you should be feeling sorry for me not getting jealous!!"

Forrest:  "Yes I know, I'm sorry, I told you I was just being silly, just ignore me I'll be fine!!"

He wasn't alright, but I was just going to leave it for now, even though they have said yes it is still not for definite, we have to meet, we have to talk and I am not even going to enter into having this baby if I don't feel comfortable with these girls.  The four of us living together, that is a big risk we are taking, I want to make sure I at least like them and can get on with them before throwing a baby into the equation.  The last thing I want is to have a baby then realize we can't live together, the fighting would start over the child, we could be creating a nightmare situation that will do none of us any good!!

He said he would not cause any problems over me needing a baby, but now it is coming down to it I am not sure that down the line Forrest won't be causing a problem even though he doesn't mean to .  One thing I've noticed about Forrest he is a very clingy and needy person, he doesn't leave me alone for a minute, it is nice because I can tell how much he loves me, but he can also be pretty suffocating. When I have a child who will take up a lot of my time, I am not sure how Forrest is actually going to cope with it.

I went to the park because I needed to clear my head, I was already wandering if I was doing the right thing.  I had not even met the girls yet and already Forrest was making me have doubts.  They were on vacation in Egypt for the next 6 days, and nothing would be happening until they returned, so we had 6 days breathing space, I needed to see if Forrest's mood changed any, between now and then.  I spotted Brandy's sister with my little nephew, he takes after Brandy all but for one thing - Amber's pink eyes.  I bet that did not please my little brother much!!  Piper now refused to acknowledge her as his mother so I doubted he liked his son having her eyes to remind him of  her every day when all he wants to do is forget about her!!

I auditioned for another gig in the park.  The proprietor asked me to make it a permanent thing which was great by me, it saves me the hassle of keep auditioning with her all the time.  So on a Wednesday every week from now on I had a show in the park to perform.

As usual I spent the rest of the day singing for tips.

The next day Forrest was off work, and I did not intend to do anything until the gig in the park later.  He wanted to go out and do something and he suggested we hang out in the park and maybe have a picnic.  I was beginning to get the feeling I seemed to spend more time in this park than I did at home, but today I wouldn't be working I would just be hanging out instead so it was fine with me. 

Forrest:  "Wake up Lyric its your turn - what are you staring at - the baby??"
Lyric:  "Yeah I was just watching Red with her baby."
Forrest:  "Don't worry you will have your own soon enough!!"
Lyric:  "It's not that, it just seems so simple for some people, I don't know how that Simpleton lot get away with what they do, and here I am worrying myself over what people might think about what we are planning!!"
Forrest:  "So you have heard the gossip flying around town then!!"
Lyric:  "I can't help but hear stuff when I am out singing for tips!!"

It makes me wonder what else is going on in that big house in the corner of town.  Red has just had a baby, her second child with Omri, one of the housemate, even though Red is actually married to Nial South.  While Red is cheating on Nial, Nail obviously has been doing some cheating of his own with another one of the housemates, Rach, who has just had Nial's child.  Now that is a mess I really would not want to sort out!!  Yet here she is as bold as brass, when she must know everyone is talking about her and the goings on in that house of theirs!!

Getting hugry I decided to make us something to eat using the barbeque in the park, while I was choking on the smoke and flipping sausages, Forrest carried on practicing his golf swing.  He was being photographed by the pap that had been stalking us since we arrived.   I was quite amused when she stuck with Forrest and left me alone, I have noticed this happening quite a lot lately, especially with the female paps, and why wouldn't they, he is a good lucking guy, a far better subject to photograph.  He seems to attract a lot of female attention and turns a lot of heads, I guess they must be totally gutted when they find out he is gay!!  I find this very funny but I doubt he has even noticed, the attention he is attracting.

Forrest:  "Did you know your Mom is in the park walking her dog."
Lyric:  "She doesn't have a dog!!"
Forrest: "Well she is over there walking one."

When I turned round to look I could not quite believe what I was seeing.  My Mother with a dog.  A dog, is that what it had come down to, getting a dog for company because she was rattling about in that big house all alone, half of her kids not wanting to know her, in fact all of her kids didn't want to have anything to do with her over her last outburst at Harper also being gay.

Oh please!! She bent down and started brushing the dog, fussing over it like it was her most prized possession.  I actually felt sorry for the poor thing, when the novelty of it wore off - if she looked after that dog like she looked after us kids, the poor thing had no hope!!

Forrest:  "Well, are you not going to say hello to her?"
Lyric:  "No, she's often here while I'm playing for tips, I ignore her and she ignores me."
Forrest:  "You have not even introduced me to your Mother yet."
Lyric:  "You know how I feel about her, besides she won't be interested, trust me, you are not missing anything not having anything to do with that woman."
Forrest: "Well, I am going to go and introduce myself to her seeing as you can't be bothered!!"
Lyric: "Forrest don't ..........."

He didn't listen, he was already off and walking across the park towards her.  I followed him, not to get involved, but I had noticed the time I had just over an hour before my gig started so I made a start on setting up the stage while I kept half an eye on Forrest, but I was also close enough to hear what was being said.

Forrest:  "Hello, I am Forrest, Lyric's..........."
Amber: "I already know who you are, now what do you want I am busy"

I think Forrest was a little taken aback by her attitude towards him.  He just stood there and didn't say another thing.  Well I did warn you Forrest!!  He did not respond to her question so she just turned and walked away from him without another word.  She had basically snubbed him.  Now maybe he might understand a little, he has always struggled to understand how I can talk about my mother in such a way.  Forrest was close to both his parents, unfortunately they both died some years ago from old age as they had him late in life, he would do anything to have his mother back and has sometimes got a little cross with me over the was I bad mouth my mother.

I started singing earlier than I should have done, the stage was all set up and ready, people were starting to turn up for the show and if I got off this stage now I didn't trust myself not to go over to her and lose my temper!!!!  As soon as I started to sing, the music took over and I soon got her out of my head and could completely forget about her for a while.

As soon as the show was over, reality came back.
Forrest:  "Did you see what she did, your Mother??!!"
Lyric:  "Yes, she snubbed you didn't she, I did warn you, maybe now you might start listening to me!!"

Forrest:  "Is it because I'm gay?"
Lyric:  "Don't take it personally Forrest, you know you actually got away pretty lightly, you ought to see how she treats and talks to Piper and he is her son!!"
Forrest:  "Is she always that rude!!"
Lyric:  "Pretty much, although I actually expected her to completely snub you and not even speak to you at all, either that or have a right go at you, that was actually pretty tame!!

Lyric:  "Come on lets get out of here, she is still hanging about and I really don't want to be seeing her!!"
Forrest:  "You can take me out, I think I need a drink!!  That's if you are not too tired"

We made our way to the karaoke bar, it was empty all but for us.  Forrest ordered the drinks and he got another shock.  The bar tender got a little excited over Forrest and gave him the drinks on the house.  He had seen it happen to me loads of times, he just never expected it to happen to himself.

Forrest:  "What the hell was that all about??"
Lyric:  "You are just as famous as I am now you know."
Forrest:  "Don't be stupid!!"
Lyric:  "I am not being, you are also a five star celebrity now, don't you read the newspapers anymore?"
Forrest:  "No, you told me not too!!  Why have you been reading them??"
Lyric:  "I might have been a little curious lately, surely you have noticed the female pap's are very interesting in you lately and I can't help but look when I walk past a news stand and spot your face on the newspaper!!"
Forrest:  "You are pulling my leg!!!"

We were both getting hungry again and decided to stop off at the local pool to grab something to eat at the 24 hour cafe there, to save us the hassle when we got home.  Just to prove a point to him I told Forrest to order the food.  Omri reacted pretty much in the same ways as the bar tender had and he gave us the food on the house.

Forrest:  "It is no wander you celebrities are loaded if nobody ever lets you spend your money!!"
Lyric:  "Well you must be extra special, its not often I get something on the house, I usually get a discount."
Forrest:  "Isn't he the one who knocked up Red again?"
Lyric:  "Yes it is, and don't change the subject, now do you believe me Mr five star celebrity."
Forrest:  "Maybe, but I might have to start reading the newspapers again to fully believe it!!"

After we had finished eating, Forrest insisted on clearing up the plates, he even went to wash them up.  I told him to leave it, it was Omri's job after all, but he didn't listen. 

I spotted Omri had fallen asleep on one of the lounge chairs by the pool.  There was only me and Forrest in the place, Omri was asleep so he would not see us, I had a very naughty idea.  I told Forrest to meet me in the hot tub.  We had now been out all night and the sun was just coming up and daylight was breaking through.

Forrest:  "Should we have just done that in a public place?" 
Lyric:  "Probably not, lets just hope nobody saw us else you will be experience your first public disgrace!!"
Forrest:  "Great!!"
Lyric:  I wouldn't worry, look, Omri is still asleep, there is still nobody around, no paps, nobody saw us!!"

We went home and collapsed into bed, we were both pretty exhausted.  We slept happily, oblivious that the town gossips were already at it.  We had been seen!!  We were publically disgraced and the whole town knew what we had been doing in the hottub at the local swimming pool!!!

Chapter 9

I am really miffed that this town or Lyric must be glitched in some way - I am having no singer gram jobs or sim fests coming up for Lyric - so all he can do to better his career is sing for tips and get shows to perform.

I had to laugh when I recieved these two pop ups minutes apart.
This is Red and Omri's second child, they already have another boy.  Red is married to Nial South who lives in the simpleton house with Red, Omri, Rach, Tai, and Blue.

While Red has been busy cheating with Omri behind Nials back.  Nial has been doing a little cheating of his own with Rach who has just had a child by him.

happy families!! LOL!!!
