Chapter 19 - Gen 6 - Lyric

Jake:  "Mommie - out - get Jakey out Mommie!!"
Melon:  "Ok, Ok, keep your shirt on - Mommie's coming!!"

Forrest:  "STOP encouraging him to call you Mommie!!!  You are not his Mom and I know what your game is - so stop it!!!"
Melon:  "Does it really matter - he's going to call me Mom when he hears the triplets doing it."
Forrest:  "I've noticed you suddenly don't leave Jake alone, I know why, you think you are going to use my son to help you stick around Lyric for longer than you should - well it's not going to work!!"
Melon:  "You're paranoid!!!  Jake was bound to get attached to me without Lilac being here."
Forrest:  "Only because you are encouraging it -  you are out Mel the minute the triplets have their birthday and become young adults  - you know your time is running out and you are not using my son to keep you here and attached to us for one minute longer!!!  The quicker I get you away from Lyric the better!!"

The atmosphere in the house is awful again, and I could see that Mel is maybe getting a little unhinged about her future - the triplets are coming close to graduating and that is the time when we part company, she will be moving out and getting on with her life - our little arrangement is coming to an end.  Made worse for Mel by Lilac fading - Mel would have got the chance to stick around with Lilac until Jake graduated, but as Lilac is no longer with us there is no reason for Mel to stick around.  Suddenly Mel decided that she wanted another baby - that didn't amuse me in the slightest, she would soon be free to go out and find herself someone to have another baby with - so why is she hassling me - there is no way on this planet she would ever get any more children out of me. This only proved Forrest's theory correct, she is looking for a way to tie herself to us for longer.

Then she started acting really strange and I knew she is up to something again.  first I bumped into her coming out of the private club after doing a gig late one night.  We went home together in silence, I'm not sure what she was doing, its not like she had been at the show.

Then she turned up in the park late and alone the next night.  Not wanting anything in particular, just hanging around and waiting to catch a ride home with me.  She's never going to stop this - I should never have swept under the carpet the last flirting episode, and keeping it a secret from Forrest, I knew one day it would come back to bite me - I could feel it coming.  It feels now like she is actually stalking me!!!

Lyric:  "Mel you need to quit this!!"
Melon:  "What am I doing wrong??"
Lyric:  "You out in the park at this time of night - I feel like you are stalking me again - you are aren't you!!!!."
Melon:  "I need to talk to you - is there any harm in that?"
Lyric:  "Couldn't it have waited till I got home?"  but I know that "needing to talk" is just an excuse, I'm warily watching her waiting for her to pounce.

As soon as we walked through the front door we heard the triplets screaming and shouting at each other - they are fighting again.

Lyric:  "Do you know what's causing all this fighting?"
Melon:  "No, none of them will tell me!!"

First we tried tackling Melody but she wasn't giving anything away other than she was really hacked off with Cello.

Jazz too was really hacked off with Cello and if anyone is going to tell me what is going on it's Jazz, he's never normally so tight lipped when he has something to say.

Lyric:  "Jazz come on what is yours and Melody's problem with Cello - what has he done?"
Jazz:  "You ask him - he's a selfish prat!!"
Lyric:  "He's not going to grass himself up is he - all this fighting and arguing has to stop and neither of you are moving until we sort this out.  So come on spit it out!!"

Lyric:  "Come on - I'm waiting!!"
Jazz:  "He's a faggot!!!"
Lyric:  "So are you fighting with him because he's gay?"
Jazz:   "Yes, he's gay, and the faggot has been kissing my girlfriend."
Lyric:  "Kissing your girlfriend ?  So how can he be ..... gay ....... and why is Melody mad with him, she doesn't care about the gay thing?"

Jazz:  "She does when she catches Cello with his tongue down the back of her boyfriends throat!!"
Lyric:  "WHAT!!??"
Jazz:  "Yeah - your sons a faggot just like you - he's been sneaking about with Chad behind Melody's back!!!!"
Lyric:  "But I thought you just said he has been kissing your girlfriend."
Jazz:  "He has he's been kissing and carrying on with her too -  probably trying to hide the fact he's really a faggot!!!"

Lyric:  "Stop saying that word - you know I hate it!!!"
Jazz:  "Sorry!!"
Lyric:  "You and Melody can stop all the fighting - I'll have a word with him"
Melody walked past a face like thunder I could see she was far from happy.
Melody:  "Tell him he can keep Chad I've dumped his cheating queer ass!!!!"

I seriously couldn't believe what was going on here!!!

Lyric:  "So?  Is it true?  Have you been kissing both Jessie and Chad?"
Cello:  "Yes."
Lyric:  "Why?"
Cello:  "Why not - they didn't mind."

His attitude worried me.

I was pretty shocked, firstly that he would even do that to his siblings, moving in on their relationships - this I really needed to have a serious talk with him over, he didn't seem to think it was very wrong.  What shocked me mostly is how could he say there is no difference between girls and boys and he doesn't prefer just one, but likes them both, kissing a boy is no different to kissing a girl according to Cello.  I wander if he is going to feel this way once he gets past the kissing stage?

Lyric:  "Did you hear all that?"
Melon:  "Yes"  she said and started to laugh
Lyric:  "It's not funny!!"
Melon:  "Actually it is, he's probably just experimenting."
Lyric:  "What, like you and Forrest did when you were kids?"

Melon:  "Oh - So he told you about that - I'm surprised"
Lyric:  "Forget that -  I'm worried about Cello, surely he should know by now if its boys or girls he likes -  he cant be gay and straight at the same time, its not normal!!"
Melon:  "Its called being bisexual and actually it is as normal as being gay or straight."
Lyric:  "Shut up - no it isn't!!!! I've never heard of anything so stupid"  Then something in my brain clicked into place.  "Oooooh hang on a minute ...... YOU ........ are  you - what did you call it?  - Bisexual??"
Melon:  "Yes, finally the penny drops!!"
Lyric:  "How long have you known this?"

Now I'm angry!!!!  She had known this all along and never said - If we had known this we would never have entered into the "baby sharing" with her.  How could she like male and female equally, it didn't make sense to me and by the looks of it Cello might just be exactly the same as Melon - Bisexual.  I couldn't think straight!!!

The next morning I sat watching everyone over breakfast, the atmosphere was chronic, it felt like any minute there was going to be an explosion.  I am listening to Melody and Cello sat hurling insults at each other, they are fighting over chad, Melon just sat between them looking amuzed but I wasn't finding it the slight bit funny.

Jazz was being exceptionally mean to everyone, I can see he is going off the rails again, he's mumbling to himself and I catch the way he is looking at everyone, his mean streak is about to resurface.  Cello knocks him accidentally as he walks past him cleaning up plate, Jazz punches him and tells him to watch it then calls him a faggot. Cello is in Melody and Jazz's bad books after he has messed up both of their romantic relationships, Jazz convinced Cello is gay so is being extra specially mean to him.

Us adults are not much better - the tension between me and Melon and Forrest and Melon, had us snapping and sniping and giving each other dirty looks.  Everyone is sniping at each other - there is only me and Forrest that are are ok with each other.   I wandered who was going to be the first one to explode -  I couldn't let this carry on, somehow I have to find a way to fix it and quickly before my whole family fell apart - it is already half way there.

Melody starts swearing at Cello after he said something snidy to her about Chad, I'm slowly losing my temper especially as Melon starts laughing at them, how can she even find it funny?.

Lyric:  "Melody watch your language and you Cello can stop winding her up!!  From now on you can count yourself as grounded until I say otherwise, that includes you too Jazz - all three of you had better sort out  your differences and make friends quick smart, you won't be setting foot out of this house other than to go to school until the three of you can be civil to each other."

A hale of insults flew across the room from Jazz but I expected that.

Lyric:  "And Melon since you find their behavior amusing you get the job of referee, I'm going out!!!"  I'm leaving them too it because if I didn't I would be the one exploding first.

I spend the afternoon singing in the park after I spent the morning going around getting myself some gigs in all the clubs in town including the big show venue which I am pretty excited about and put me in a better mood, but I'm still wandering about what is going on at home, I'm expecting to walk into a battle ground when I go back.

I'm talking to Tai and I catch sight of something pink streaking across the park.  Jazz!!!

He ran up to me - I expected him to do a runner but he actually acted like he was looking for me.

Lyric:  "What are you doing out?  You're grounded."  I am ready to lose it with him for being out and this late after I'd grounded him.
Jazz:  "Mom sent me to look for you - you are not answering your phone and she wants you to come home and Forrest is still at work, she needs your help."

Lyric:  "Sick of the fighting already is she??"  I started laughing at her in my head thinking it serves her right
Jazz:  "Yes Cello and Melody keep having punch ups but its Jake he won't stop screaming the house down."
Lyric: "What's wrong with him?"
Jazz:  "It's the ghosts hes scared of them - especially Lilac she wont leave him alone, she wants you to move the graves to the graveyard."

GREAT!!!

When I get home Melon is tearing strips off Cello and Melody because they wont stop fighting over Chad and Jake is outside on the front garden he keeps running away from the ghosts that are in the house tonight.  I left Forrest, who had just got back from work,  to deal with Jake while I dealt with Cello and Melody.

I walked into the bedroom to quite a surprise.  Forrest is already asleep and Jake is sleeping in our bed with him.   Great I hope Jake is not going to start make a habit of this!!!    I have to find somewhere else to sleep tonight so I went into Lilac and Melons old room which isn't used anymore - Melon sleeps in with Melody and has done since before Lilac left us.

 So I thought

I woke up in the morning to one hell of a shock.
When did she get into bed with me? 
Did I get it wrong or did she do this on purpose?
Imagine what Forrest would have thought if he had walked in here and seen us sleeping in the same bed together!!!

I went and ate breakfast outside away from everyone - I needed to clear my head there is too much going on in it and I am not in the mood to listen to all the bickering that is no doubt going on in there.  Forrest came out but I carried on eating without speaking.  Not realizing I'm actually not eating but sat staring at my spoon.

Forrest:  "Where is your head at??"
Lyric: "Nowhere"
Forrest:  "Yes it is!!!  You are not pissed with me because I let Jake sleep in with me last night are you - he's terrified I didn't know what else to do he wouldn't sleep in his own room - you would have done the same if it had been one of yours."
Lyric:  "It's not that - I'm not pissed with you - and yes I would have done the same."
Forrest:  "So what is it then?"
Lyric:  "Forrest where does Melon usually sleep?"
Forrest:  "In with Melody but you know that ........why?"

So I told him about her getting into the bed I was sleeping in last night.  I couldn't keep hiding things from him - the list of things she is doing is growing longer.

Forrest:  "I want her out of here!!!  I'm sick of her and her antics!!"
Lyric:  "I want her out of here too but what about the kids, they are already unhinged if I booted her out now its only just going to make them worse, she is their mother - and Jake he's really attached to her."
Forrest:  "Don't you bring Jake into this - I've already had a go at her for encouraging Jake to call her Mom."
Lyric:  "It doesn't matter how we feel - he is attached to her whether you like it or not!!"
Forrest:  "And that is exactly the game she is playing - she knows you're a soft touch - she's trying to buy extra time using Jake and I'm not having it!!"
Lyric:  "It's not too long to the triplets birthday - we are just going to have to grin and bear it till then."
Forrest:  "I know, but I'm not sure I can, I've got to go work - we'll continue this conversation when I get back - but think on - I want her out Lyric - NOW!!"

 Things just keep getting worse every day!!!

Jake since his birthday HATES the ghost - he keeps running off outside - Ive never had a child so bothered by them before.  Ive had adults keep fainting when they see them.  Jake acts like neurotic sims do when they see Bonehilda - he keeps doing a runner.

I am howling at Cello - he seems to swing both ways - he likes men and woman pretty equally - since the new attraction system I've been doubled up laughing - he has love hearts flying around for virtually everyone he meets male and female- he even thinks Forrest and Lilac's ghost are hot!!  This boy is going to be trouble with a capital T!!!!  I totally cracked up when he came out of prom with his brothers girlfriend and sisters boyfriend both showing also as his romantic interests - I nearly gave him the heart breaker LTW because I think he is going to achieve it quite easily - but we'll have to see.  Ive checked his gender preference with mc mod and it shows male and female both the same - both of them are 0 - which is odd in itself - I'll just have to wait and see if they alter as he gets older. 
Generation 7 could very well be a wild ride!!
